There followed a LOT of gigs, in and around London during
1975 and 1976 - over 200 in a year at its peak. Finally they were signed
by the then U.A. records. They recorded their first 2 albums during the
same studio session!
The rest as they say is History...
Of course since then Hugh Cornwell has left the band to pursue his solo career.
He was replaced by...
Something has changed (again) John Ellis has left to work on "Curly's Airships"

It was really only to have a location for these pages that I generated my 'homepage'
Having found nothing on the Web that was Stranglers orientated, a state
of affairs which I thought had to be rectified, I set out to create these
pages.
However since then I've found The Stranglers
Information Service web-page (also known as
The Rat's Lair) which is run by Adrian Liggins from Philadelphia in the States.
This is an 'Official' site, unlike mine which is more of an extension to
my fixation with all things Stranglified .
